PEACH | WHITE GRAPE | CARAMEL
Riakiberu Coffee Factory, part of the Kamacharia Farmers Cooperative Society in Murang’a County, Kenya, brings together 1,542 smallholder farmers cultivating primarily SL28 alongside Batian and Ruiru 11 at 1,650 meters above sea level. Grown in mineral-rich red volcanic soils with ample rainfall and cool temperatures, these coffees thrive under ideal highland conditions and benefit from two harvest seasons each year. Ripe cherries are processed at the wet mill using traditional Kenyan washed methods, including careful depulping, 12–24 hour fermentation, thorough washing, and slow drying on raised beds for up to 22 days—enhancing clarity, balance, and complexity in the cup.
In the cup, this coffee is bright and expressive, showcasing vibrant stone fruit and grape-like acidity with notes of ripe peach and white grape, rounded out by a smooth caramel sweetness.
