Jardines del Encanto, along with its sibling farm Jardines del Eden, is an experimental farm operated by the Arcila family in Quindio. Unlike many traditional coffee farms where traditional varieties are grown alongside high quality varieties, the Jardines farms focus on varieties with the highest cup quality potential.

Jardines del Encanto, or "enchanted garden", sits at high elevations of over 2000 meters above sea level. At the farm, coffee plants are intentionally grown with plenty of space between trees, which lowers overall production, but increases quality from each cherry. This Maragesha variety, a hybrid of the tropical and sweet Maragogype variety and the floral and complex Geisha variety, is processed using Jardines' EF2 protocol, combining aerobic and anaerobic stages to develop complex flavors.

We competed with this coffee in the United States Brewer's Cup nationals this year. In the cup, expect complex fruit flavors with a notable sweetness, and elegant floral flavors as the cup cools.
