Juan Peña’s Hacienda La Papaya has become a benchmark for us when it comes to Ecuador -- clean, expressive, and consistently exceptional. This washed Typica was our introduction to Juan’s work, and it continues to stand out year after year.

Every detail of Juan’s process is intentional. Carefully selected ripe cherries undergo a 15-hour fermentation before being slowly dried in UV-protected rooms, where temperature and humidity are closely monitored to ensure a precise, even finish.

In the cup: This year’s release is vibrant and structured, with bright tangerine citrus up front, a deep caramel sweetness, and a soft, floral finish that lingers.
