Founded in 2018, the Adorsi washing station sits in the famed Ethiopian coffee producing district of Yirgacheffe. Here, Faysel Abdosh owns and operates multiple washing stations under the umbrella of Testi Coffee. Growing up in West Harar, Faysel started his own exporting company in 2009, working to develop communities within coffee producing regions and creating access to global specialty markets beyond the local market. In communities like Denbi Uddo and Aricha, Testi has built primary schools to ensure children receive education.

When coffee is brought to Adorsi by smallholder producers, the cherries are depulped within 6 to 8 hours from harvesting to prevent unwanted natural fermentation. The cherries are then fermented in tanks, washed in channels to remove mucilage, then dried on raised beds under parabolic shade.

This coffee from Adorsi reminds us of classic washed Ethiopian flavors, with bright summer fruit and citrus. The acidity is complex and sparkling, a testament to the sorting and processing being done at the mill.
