GRAPEFRUIT | CHERRY | WHITE TEA
Thuti factory is the founding wet mill for the Othaya Farmers Cooperative Society, built in 1958 in the Gatugi village. The Othaya Farmers Cooperative Society is comprised of 300 half-acre farms and 19 different factories.
This coffee sees a 16 hour dry fermentation in tanks, followed by a six hour soaking. The coffee then passes to raised beds to dry for 14 to 20 days.
Thuti is a new offering to us this year, having offered coffee from the neighboring Karuthi factory in the past. We find bright and bracing citrus in the cup, as well as sweet cherry and a pleasant white tea texture.
